Introduction:

If you compare the output from HIFI Audio Stream with other streaming products on the net then you will realise that the quality is very high. We have found that at high bit rates we can hardly tell the difference between one type of compression and another, but at low bit rates (needed for 56k streaming) then LAME compression is much better than the others. Another thing that we are pleased about is that Flash4 is used for the streaming. Visitors to your website don’t need any special plugins. Most users have Flash4, and most webspace providers stream Flash4 animations. Note that you can stream any type of sound. You could for example speak a message to your site visitors, produce your own compositions or even as one site has done record the sound of your motorbike.

Also you are not limited to web page delivery. You could incorporate your sound into an eBook, intranet or presentations.

We would recommend that you read through the "Tip of the day" list either from within the program or from the list included below. There is also a comprehensive and updated FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions list) on the program’s website. On the website you can also download extra sets of controllers (free).

Audio length:

The maximum length of the output is 4 hours 26 minutes. If you convert an audio file longer than 4:26 the output will be truncated and a message displayed. This limit is because of the way the Flash Player works.
