I am in my 50’s and I think like many of us have a good, “Bits and Pieces” understanding; however I would like to build a good foundation, and from that move to the next level, and them the final level would be, a good solid working/understanding knowledge of Computers and the Internet. Not knowing everything but having the foundation to learn new technology as it becomes available. What I would like to do is look at the learning process in three parts, 1- Computer basics, hardware/ how the computer works/basic internet/networking, 2- upgrading and add-ons, understanding/knowing what you may want and why. 3-Advanced understanding and trouble-shooting, internet, torrents, packets, up-stream/down stream speed, understanding and use of different audio/video etc… What books, etc, do you recommendation for: 1- Basic, 2 – Intermediate, and 3 – Advanced These are just my general thoughts, If you know a good systematic way to approach the learnin please suggest that also.
